The Boys

My house is currently home to two handsome little male rats.

Isaac

Isaac is a Russian blue mismarked possum rat, born on November 27, 2014, and adopted from a local breeder, along with his brother. He's what most think of as the typical male rat; laid back and content to snuggle. However, he's also shy of strangers, and easily annoyed by his very hyper brother. While most rats are very quiet, Isaac has a habit of making chirping and cooing sounds while playing or greeting me.

When picking out my two new best friends, my method was basically to stick my hand into the cage full of young male rats and see who chose me. Isaac was the second one to introduce himself, more timid than his brother and more friendly than the others. He simply crept forwards and licked my finger tips, and that was it. Now he still retains this habit of timid affection, and is laid back and prefers to lay in my lap and sleep more than anything.

Styles
Styles, born on November 27, 2013 to the same litter as his brother, Isaac, is a dark eyed white rat. Because of his color, Styles has some weird genetic issues, such as seizing if his blood sugar drops. Styles doesn't let that phase him, though. He defies all stereotypes of male rats, and is in fact incredibly active and hyper. He does love snuggling, but would rather be causing trouble.

Though he does like to get into things and cause mischief, Styles loves to please me and will always come when called or apologize if he does something bad. He is outgoing and clever, and always looking for someplace new to explore.
